Here at Seedling Media, we are working on a small-but-perfectly-formed website solution for those on a budget. We think will be useful for small businesses, community groups and others who don’t have a lot of money to spend, but do want a high-quality website that is perfect for a simple set of tasks.

We are basing this on a considerable amount of experience at building websites for small businesses and organisations, and this is what our system will help you to do:

• Pick a design for your site from a wide range of flexible layouts and colour schemes.
• Set up a website with a handful of pages – eg. a home page, contact page a few other information-type pages.
• Add a simple contact form that makes it easy for people to get in touch with you, and stops spammers from getting your email address.
• Publish simple “repeating” content, like news updates, events/gigs or employment/volunteering vacancies.
• Place special notices and announcements around your site.

This is version 2 of our website, and we hope it’s easy on the eyes and clearly laid out. These are a couple of the things we reckon we’re good at, after all. As well as a graphical overhaul we have started to add advice articles with topics our clients often ask us about. And later in the summer, we will be adding working demonstration versions of some of the content management systems we have to offer.
